Once Upon a Time I went to
Graceland 
| While in Memphis, Tennessee in February 2006 to give a
talk for the National Science Foundation, I took the occasion to visit
Graceland, the home of former rock star Elvis Presley, with some
colleagues.
I was impressed by the graceful and tasteful building and
grounds. And I was impressed by the other visitors, most of whom were in
their 20's and 30's and at how almost reverential they were. It was a
bit like Graceland was a shrine.
