Visitor Center

The Visitor Center is located a half mile west of SR 94 on Tamiami Trail (US 41) and is about half-way between Naples and Miami.

As National Park visitor centers go, this one is among the less inspiring. Aside from restrooms, an Information Desk, and a 15-minute movie about swamp panthers, it offers few amenities. The Florida National Scenic Trail crosses at the Center.

The attendant sold us a Big Cypress Park pin for Alan Bow. He also convinced us that the Loop Road was worth the drive and that it was dry enough for us to make it -- if we took it real easy. We did both.
