"There are no other Everglades in the World"

Everglades National Park

It was mid-afternoon when we arrived at the entrance to the Everglades National Park. The road from the Ernest Coe Visitor Center at the entrance near Homestead to the Flamingo Visitor Center at the southern tip of the Park is 28 miles. We visited each of the main points along the way except West Lake because it was getting late.. 

We stayed overnight at the Flamingo Lodge Marina & Outpost Resort, which is the only accommodation in the Park.
