Where We Traveled

A Trip Around Florida
Starting on February 1, we spent 10 days touring the coasts of  Central and Southern Florida.  From Orlando we drove west to the Tampa-Clearwater- St. Petersburg area and down the upper Gulf Keys to Sarasota. The next three days were spent exploring Sanibel and Captiva islands before going on to Big Cyprus, Everglades, and Biscayne National parks. After an overnight at Flamingo, we headed north along the Atlantic Coast to Port St. Lucie. We then drove up Hutchinson Island en route to Daytona Beach where we spent three days touring with my friend Nancy Jane Stubbs. From there it was Orlando and home to D.C.

We did not find a replacement for Puerto Escondido -- but we did discover some interesting possibilities.
