Treasure Island - We Got Lucky
South of Sand Key is Treasure Island and we got lucky. We had searched fruitlessly in the fog and rain from Lakeland to Clearwater Beach and then with equal futility down the length of Sand Key for anyplace for breakfast to which the term "charming" might even be loosely applied. Nada!

Hunger got the best of us so we stopped at the Treasure Island Holiday Inn.  We finally got got a break! Their 10th floor Seawatch Grille has a marvelous panoramic view of the beach.

In the cold February rain, the beach was empty. So too was the dining room. We got the best window table in the house and terrific service. It was a nice brunch.
