St. Pete's Beach

The last major town we visited before leaving the Upper Keys was St. Pete's Beach. St. Pete's is one of the original destinations for winter tourist and still gets a million visitors a year. It is heavily developed with high rise condominium and hotel resorts. Despite the development, St. Pete's is somewhat tonier than many of its more northern neighbors.

We planned to have lunch at Don Cesar's, a world class resort and architecturally interesting building. However, the dining room was temporarily closed for repairs so all we got to see is the other side of what you see in the picture.
