Mr. and Mrs. John Urbancik

Dorothy Anne VanderPutten and John Anthony Urbancik were married Friday, July 7, 2000 at four o'clock in the afternoon at St. John Nepomucene Roman Catholic Church, Bohemia, New York. Dorothy is the daughter of my brother Dick and his wife Peggy.

My Niece Caitlin's Wedding

Caitlin Kimberly Binning and Timothy Binning were married June 29, 2000 -- Caitlin's 34th birthday -- by Chief justice of the VA supreme court Harry Carrico.

Maureen Larkin Wright, the bride's mother, was matron of honor and Charlie Moses, the groom's best friend, stood up for him.

Reflecting on the ceremony a few months later, Caitlin wrote, "I never was known for appropriate behavior at solemn occasions, and I certainly was true to form. I still am not sure how Tim feels about a wife who giggled through her vows!"

Tracy Denise Larkin and Jeffrey Thomason were married November 28, 1997 in the chapel at the Hot Springs Resort in in Genoa, Nevada.

The bride's brother Michael (Steve) gave away the bride. ("He was very enthusiastic about that part," Tracy later noted.) Christina Fenner, a friend of Tracy's from grade school traveled from New York to be the maid of honor. Nieces Katy (front) and Rebecca were the flower girls.

Michael Vander Putten and Tanya Revels of Thomasville, Ga. were married at St. John's Church in Bohemia, New York on July 12, 1997 at 11:00 am.

The reception was held at The Riverview in Oakdale.

My Niece Jill's Wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Bonner

Jill VanderPutten and Kevin Bonner were married at 8 PM on New Year's Eve, 1993.

The couple were married by a local Justice at the home of Jill's parents, John and Pat Vander-Putten. Jill's daughter from her first marriage, Carole-Anne, was the maid of honor. Kevin`s friend Vito was the best man. A small reception followed at her parents home.

Jill notes for posterity: "And actually there is a funny story, Kevin's family is perpetually late, and right when the judge said, is there anyone here who objects to this marriage the doorbell rang. It was some late members of Kevin's family. An omen?  Who knows?"
